i have to write three film analysis papers for my american cinema class tomorrow. it’s 3:10 and i’m losing it. my outlines have gone from being formal to an illustration of my deteriorating mental state. here’s what i’ve written to act as pointers for my paper. believe it or not, it’s helping a lot. my paper on network focuses on the manipulation of howard beale’s mental state for ratings. i’m comparing it to current day media and their manipulation tactics. moral of the story: television is a goddamn amusement park! a whorehouse! this will make more sense if you’ve seen the movie
