Tropic of Capricorn

so my roommate, allison,  recently had to give up one of her cats because she developed allergies. she found a home for the cat, cairo, across the street and thought it was a good fit. today after getting home, literally as I was about to get into bed (i’m feeling really sick), i heard a knock on the door. our neighbors from across the hall had found cairo in the streets and thought that perhaps allison had lost her cat. apparently, cairo had been living in the garage for four days with close to no food and water. his eye is cut and his hair is all matted. whoever allison had adopted cairo out to left him on the street to fend for himself. i’m truly disgusted. how could someone possibly do this to an animal? the poor cat is wheezing…
